Tiffany Kocher is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who specializes in the treatment of adolescents and adults with addiction and joined Mass Bay Counseling of Quincy in 2016. She graduated from UMass Amherst in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Simmons College in 2012.
Tiffany has been working with adolescents and young adults for the past several years and has excelled in building therapeutic connections and trusting relationships with clients. She has specialized experience with the assessment and treatment of substance abuse, and clinical expertise with families, groups, and individuals. Tiffany’s approach to therapy is eclectic; she utilizes a multitude of approaches including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Prior to joining Mass Bay Counseling, Tiffany was the Program Director at the Cushing House Girls in South Boston and has worked in numerous other residential treatment programs. In addition to her work experience, Tiffany has done volunteer work for Caron Treatment Centers and has an in-depth and working knowledge of 12-step programs.
Tiffany is accompanied by Rowan, a Service Dog for Therapy and affectionate black Labrador. Rowan completed an extensive training and certification program through the NEADS program in 2012 and has been working alongside Tiffany ever since. He serves as emotional support to clients as he provides an incredibly positive and mellow energy and many clients appreciate his relaxing and consistent presence during sessions.
